Wahroonga, NSW, AUSTRALIA: December 2014
Australians have some unusual customs. Apparently they like throwing thongs on Australia Day. Now thongs downunda are not just flimsy pieces of material, they are also footwear. In fact they are the official footwear of Australia on this glorious day. We in the USA call them flip-flops. Not sure how far I can throw a thong though.Trying on my island night outfit for the cruise
Waiting for the taxi to the ship
Evacuation drill on the Pacific Jewel , safety first!
Enjoying a cocktail on board
Loving the spa
With my hosts on Island Night.
With my hosts at the Sailaway party.
I visited Mare', a tropical island in New Caledonia
I helped quill a card for the Australian Rat Whisperer Rachel Sydenham who is looking after my buddies back in Sydney. She owns Rattikins Rattery and Small Animal Boarding.
Aussies really love trivia! I helped the team win on Friday. I'm with Alun the Cruise Director and Joanna the Deputy Cruise Director.
Having a little kip after reading the Pacific Daily. Can't wait for tonights fun!
Woo hoo! A champagne waterfall. Better not get my fur wet!
So this household has been flat out like a lizard drinking! The kids went back to school this week after the Summer break and Ginny my host has been REALLY busy with her Thermomix business. I finally visited the great outdoors today and Ginny has promised to introduce me to koalas and kangaroos on Monday before sending me back to the chilly USA. It is pretty warm here.
The Capt. Cook tree was huge. It is great to learn a little history about this country.
Met some really cool aboriginal people who were playing some fantastic music.
Let's go touring!
I've had a really good day here in Sydney. Today we went to the Koala Park and met lots of furry and feathered friends.
