How we help rescues:

Our mission is to help animal rescues, especially those that take in rats, wherever we can, in whatever way we can. Some of the ways we help are by promoting rescues and their fundraisers, events, and adoptable animals, spreading the word about rescue events or when a rescue needs help, and alerting rescues and rescue supporters to any grants, contests, sweepstakes, or fundraisers that the rescues may be eligible for.

Rescues: Need help spreading the word about a hoarding situation or transport, etc?

Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can get the word out to help you with a rat situation. Sometimes rescues are overwhelmed with a hoarding situation or something comes up and everyone is so busy rescuing that they just can't get the word out. We will post on social media, rat forums and boards, and email other rescues that take in rats around your country. Please email The Travelin' Rat and let us know the following info so we can spread the word for you (feel free to copy and paste to your email, then fill in the details):

For Financial Help, Start By Filling Out The Travelin' Rat Registration Form:

In order to receive ANY help from us, a rescue (501(c)(3), non-501(c)(3), and outside US) MUST fill out the TTR Registration Form. We need to know who we are helping and why. This would be good for anything we do for the year, then we will email it back to you every January for you to make any changes.

We will be doing the best we can to keep lists of financial assistance (grants, contests, sweepstakes, fundraisers, etc) that rescues can apply for. The list can be found on our Grants & Fundraisers page.
