Rescues We Have Helped
We do help rescues in a variety of ways, generally through sharing information (when a rescue needs help with fosters, adopters, donations, or transport, or for an event or fundraiser, plus passing on information about grants, donations, or contests that they are eligible for) and donating to them. Here is a list of the ways we have been able to help them financially over the years.
While applying for our 501(c)(3) in 2013, we were informed that we cannot donate funds to organizations that do not have 501(c)(3) approval or are outside of the US. Therefore, we are trying to help those rescues set up and promote fundraisers for themselves, in addition to alerting them to any donations they are qualified for. We have included the amount raised by the rescue in parenthesis in these cases.
In 2016, we made a number of changes to our organization. We closed our store and are now helping all rescues set up fundraisers and promote their organizations. Money that the rescues raise through the Rescue of the Month program is recorded in parenthesis. In 2017, we dissolved as an organization so can no longer take in or give out money.
