Whew!! Finally made it to Texas, but man, IT'S HOT!! 🔥🔥🔥I changed clothes as soon as I got to Miss Stacy's house into something cooler. I got to meet all of her rats when I got here too! Here's me with her girls, ZuZu and Petal, and the boys, Pixel, Jarvis, Router, Baldwin and Bear. BJ was still snoozin' and was kinda grouchy, so he didn't pose for any pics yet. I'll get one before I leave though! 😉

Having a great time with Miss Stacy at Choctaw Casinos in Oklahoma...C'mon Lady Luck!! 💰💰💰
Can't believe I lost it all!! Not sure I even have enough left for gas money to get back home, lol. Maybe Miss Stacy can loan me a few bucks, hehe. ;)
Got home from Choctaw and this was waiting for Miss Stacy. Flowers, cake, and prezzies from her hubs for her birthday. One of her kitties, OJ, had to go and photo bomb my pic at the last second....Her kitties are crazy, lol.
My host lives just outside of Dallas, so we went downtown to see a few of the sights. So, one of the things 'to do' when you're downtown is to take your picture with these 'BIG' letters they have scattered throughout the city. Here I am with a very famous red pegasus here in Dallas. Everything really is big in Texas!!
Wish we could've gotten closer, but they were doing some construction. But, at least I got to see this GIANT eyeball sculpture they have downtown. It was pretty cool looking!
Dallas also has a couple of wall murals of Dirk Nowitzki from the Dallas Mavericks. I look so tiny next to him. I mean, I knew he was a big guy, but...oh my goodness, he's huge!
Made a stop at the famous Deep Ellum area of Dallas. There were sooo many night clubs and tattoo shops around!
So, the last leg of my trip to downtown Dallas yesterday was to take a moment to pay my respects at a couple of *very* famous and important landmarks. There's so much history just in downtown alone. I'll post my pics soon, as they're a little emotional to look through. Pics to follow soon!
As promised, here are some photos of me at the very infamous Dealey Plaza. This is the area of Dallas where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22nd, 1963. Here's a map that shows the route of that fateful day.
The Grassy Knoll is an important spot from that day, as that's the section of this area where the President lost his life. Can't believe I'm sitting on the *actual* Grassy Knoll. Its eery and fascinating at the same time.
Here's a plaque outside of the Texas School Book Depository Building recounting the day's fateful events. This is the building that Lee Harvey Oswald fired shots from that would eventually take the life of the President of the United States of America.
"X" marks the spot at the points where bullets struck JFK while in his motorcade traveling down Elm Street. Hard to believe a President lost his life right here where we stand.
That's me and Miss Stacy in the middle of the road next to 1 of 2 X's painted on Elm Street.
DPD Officer Michael Krol
DPD Officer Patricio E. Zamarripa
DPD Senior Corporal Lorne B. Ahrens
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Officer Brent Thompson
DPD Sergeant Michael J. Smith
This is El Centro College where those 5 lives were forever changed when shots rang out that night.
I thought these banners we saw wrapped up my visit on such a positive note. I'm so glad I got to see such history while I was here. #DallasStrong#ThankACop
